Our History

The Partnership Council was developed from a steering group of local people, set up to improve the area known as Area 4. Some parts of Area 4 are considered amongst the most deprived areas of the UK. Area 4 includes Hyson Green, Radford, New Basford, Sherwood Rise, Forest Fields, the Park and the Arboretum area.

The Partnership Council became a charity in 1998 and since then we’ve been delivering projects which improve the lives of people living in Area 4. Our projects aim to tackle issues such as crime, unemployment and the environment whilst giving local people the chance to get involved and play a part in how Area 4 is developed and improved.

You can read about our projects in the What We Do section of the website.

Several of our projects also benefit people living in other parts of Nottingham.
